Red Steel 2 Gameplay

By admin | May 13, 2009

Red Steel was an action packed thriller which had some moments during which we exalted this as a great game, but there were a few matters which made us look at it as a game not meeting the required standards. Apart form the game play, these days beautiful graphics are an integral part of a successful game, but unfortunately this is an area where Red Steel faltered. The players who tried Red Steel were of a unanimous view that Red Steel was too raw, with less detail given to graphics, story scenes and controls. But even with these deficiencies, there were some moments when the players felt joy and excitement which had no bounds.

UbiSoft has revealed that Red Steel 2 will be launched soon, and there is a general expectation that Red Steel 2 game play will be a lot better. UbiSoft has refrained from letting out too much about the latest version and the new features it would have, but this much has been announced that MotionPlus technology will be included in it, which will surely enable the players to have better and more accurate control during sword fights.

There were many areas in the previous version which failed to impress the players. With the graphic crudeness set aside, players also faced much problems in sword fights and while turning the player. Although, most players ranked the shooting controls as good, there was a general dissatisfaction shown over the lack of accuracy of controls, especially during katana sword fights.

But UbiSoft seems to have taken the feedback of players positively and much improvement may be experienced by public in Red Steel 2 gameplay. A big problem faced by players in the previous version was about the bounding box used to turn the player, and it was advised that resizing it may be helpful. The box was not exactly in the center of the screen making it hard to turn the player even with increased mouse sensitivity.

The lack of accuracy during sword fights was also a huge turn-off, and MotionPlus will surely have a positive effect on this aspect, improving Red Steel 2 game play. The developers also missed a chance to add excitement as they did not bother to include any car chase action, instead all that happened was we got into a steel vehicle and reached the next level.

Although, Red Steel 1 had all the potential to be called as a great game, it fell short in many areas due. By giving more menu options to players, giving a wide range of weapons, adding accuracy in the controls and improving graphics, UbiSoft can give action games fans a dream-come-true experience in the form of Red Steel 2.

Red Steel 2 Wii

By admin | May 12, 2009

All action fans liked Red Steel for its action packed levels, and some moments took us deep into the world of action and adventure, but still there were times when they realized that this game had some real shortcomings. Apart form gameplay, these days it is an essential element of a good game that it must have highly detailed graphics and beautiful scenery, but the same was no where to be found in Red Steel. Everyone who tried Red Steel sensed that the game was really underdone as far as the graphics and story scenes were concerned, while the controls were also far from being user-friendly.

The launch of Red Steel 2 Wii game has been recently announced by UbiSoft, and fans are holding their breath in anticipation that this version will not have the same problems. Despite the fact that so little has been let out regarding Red Steel 2 Wii game, we have been told that MotionPlus technology will be a part of the latest version. This is a welcome inclusion as we can expect that MotionPlus will improve the handling and accuracy of controls during sword fights and shooting.

Despite the action and thrill in Red Steel 1, there were many frustrating aspects of the game which disappointed the players. Even if we ignore the raw graphics and story cuts, the controls alone were enough to ruin all the fun. Players showed good response to the handling while shooting, but turning the player quickly was hard to accomplish and lack of accuracy in katana fighting let the players down big time.

After experiencing the first version, players expect UbiSoft to fix some of the problems in Red Steel 2 Wii game. A necessary modification would be to change the size of the bounding box, which was used while turning the player. It was found to be far from the center of the monitor, making it hard to turn the player even with a mouse set to high sensitivity.

Sword fighting in Red Steel is potentially the most exciting phase, but as there was no accuracy in the controls, it was nothing short of random movements. As MotionPlus is being used in Red Steel 2, we can surely believe that this time we will have more control over our swords.

Some more thrill and excitement can be added by including some car action in the game, unlike in the first version in which our player just got into the car, and there came the next level.

Red Steel 2 has a potential of being a super hit, if small modifications are made such as offering a wider range of weapons and increasing accuracy and user-friendliness in controls. Another much called-for change is to have great graphics with finer detail, as ignoring this aspect once again will be disastrous.
